True Alaskan Family Cruise Returns to Alaskan Dream Cruises’ Lineup in 2023

Ladies and Gentlemen, gather round and prepare to be transported to the breathtaking wilderness of Alaska! Alaskan Dream Cruises, run by a family of proud Alaska Native Tlingits, are the masters of adventure in the Great Land's Inside Passage. And they've got a treat for you! The True Alaskan Family Cruise is making a comeback in 2023, after a hiatus since 2018. This six-day family journey is jam-packed with all the ingredients for a truly unforgettable experience.

"When the opportunity presented itself to include this itinerary in our 2023 line-up, we simply couldn't resist," said Alaskan Dream spokesperson Zak Kirkpatrick. "It has everything you could want in a family cruise: a five-night, six-day adventure starting on July 1st, when most schools are on summer break, the chance to celebrate Independence Day in a quaint coastal town, and most importantly, wildlife, breathtaking glaciers, kayaking, and much more. Your family will make memories that will last a lifetime on this expedition."

The adventure sets sail from Juneau, the state capital, aboard the 49-passenger Admiralty Dream on July 1st. The trip kicks off with an Alaskan-style feast and beach bonfire at the company's Orca Point Lodge, followed by a cruise through the scenic Tracy Arm and into the communities of Petersburg and Wrangell, just in time for the 4th of July festivities and fireworks. The itinerary strikes the perfect balance between sailing through glacial fjords and remote bays, perfect for kayaking and skiff exploration, and ample wildlife viewing and hiking opportunities.

This True Alaskan Family Cruise is designed with multi-generational groups and families in mind, and features onboard youth expedition leaders to lead activities, explorations, and educational programs about Alaska. Young travelers will receive a custom Adventure Guidebook as they embark on a quest to "Become a True Alaskan." All guests will have the chance to take the plunge and join the prestigious Killer Whale Club by braving the icy waters of Alaska.

The cruise concludes in Sitka, the homeport of Alaskan Dream Cruises. Fares start at $2,895 per person, with discounts available for families. Book a third or fourth guest in the same room, and the fare is reduced by 25%. Book a second room of equal or lesser value, and you'll receive a 50% discount.

The fares are per person, based on double occupancy, and include accommodations on the ship, all meals during the voyage, scheduled shore excursions, airport transfers, recreational equipment, a complimentary glass of wine or beer with dinner, and top-notch onboard services. Deluxe and Suite bookings also include all alcoholic beverages.

With nearly 50 years of experience in the region, Alaskan Dream Cruises offers a casual, expedition-style atmosphere and a unique, local perspective of Alaska's Inside Passage. The Allen family, founders of the company and proud members of the Alaska Native Tlingit clan, launched Alaskan Dream Cruises in 2011, bringing authentic cultural exploration to every itinerary. The Allen family, based in Sitka, also founded Allen Marine, Inc., a boat-building company, in 1967, and Allen Marine Tours, offering day cruise tours to travelers in Alaska's Inside Passage.
