Safari & Kilimanjaro Adventure in Tanzania

Here is a testimony from our clients who just returned from their trip to Tanzania.

I just returned from an incredible 10-day adventure in Tanzania, combining a 3-day safari and a 7-day Kilimanjaro climb on the Machame route. It was a perfect mix of wildlife and high-altitude adventure, made seamless by exceptional VIP services. If you have ever wanted to do a bucket list item or test your physical ability while visiting one of the most beautiful places on this planet, this trip is for you!

3-Day Safari Highlights:

  1. Day 1 – Arusha National Park: We kicked off the journey in Arusha National Park, famous for its diverse landscapes. From the Momella Lakes to Mount Meru’s backdrop, the views were breathtaking. Highlights included a walking safari that brought us close to giraffes grazing peacefully.

  2. Day 2 – Tarangire National Park: Tarangire blew me away with its giant baobabs and endless herds of elephants. We saw lions lounging in the shade, a leopard high up in a tree, and countless zebras and wildebeests. Our guide was fantastic, sharing stories and insights about the ecosystem.

  3. Day 3 – Ngorongoro Crater: Descending into the crater felt like entering another world. The concentration of wildlife was surreal—rhinos, lions, and flamingos all in one place. We even witnessed a lioness stalking its prey and the baby cubs watching and learning! The lush greenery and crater walls made it a photographer’s dream.

Our safari accommodations were luxurious, with gourmet meals, spacious tents, and stunning views. Every detail was taken care of, from morning coffee with sunrise views to evening fireside chats under the stars.

7-Day Kilimanjaro Climb (Machame Route):

The VIP service on Kilimanjaro was unmatched. My team included experienced guides, a team of porters, 2 outstanding chefs who prepared delicious meals at every camp. The pacing was perfect, ensuring I acclimatized well to the altitude.

  • Day 1-3: Starting in the lush rainforest, I marveled at the misty canopy and curious colobus monkeys. By Day 3, we had reached the Shira Plateau, where sweeping views of Kilimanjaro’s summit inspired us to keep going.

  • Day 4-5: The Lava Tower acclimatization hike was challenging but rewarding, and the descent into Barranco Valley revealed striking views of the towering Barranco Wall.

  • Day 6: Summiting Uhuru Peak was the pinnacle of the trip. We began the final ascent at midnight under a blanket of stars, reaching the top in time for a breathtaking sunrise over Africa. The euphoria of standing at 5,895 meters (19,341 Ft) above sea level is hard to put into words.

  • Day 7: The descent back to Mweka Gate was a bittersweet goodbye to the mountain.

Through this entire climb, the scenery was amazing, the mental and physical challenges exciting and the entire team supporting and motivating me was the best!

Reflections:

Tanzania exceeded all my expectations. The combination of thrilling safaris and the physical challenge of Kilimanjaro made this trip unforgettable. VIP services made everything seamless, from expertly guided wildlife tours to personalized attention on the mountain. I highly recommend this itinerary to anyone seeking adventure, natural beauty, and world-class hospitality.
