Royal Caribbean Debuts Bars & Nightlife Concepts for Icon of the Seas

A jolly good day, dear reader! Royal Caribbean International has recently unveiled a plethora of over 15 bars and nightlife experiences to jazz up the new Icon of the Seas come January 2024. Live music enthusiasts will relish in the chance to watch two pianists go head-to-head at Dueling Pianos in Royal Promenade or sway to soulful classics and jazz pop tunes at Lou’s Jazz ‘n Blues in Central Park. Bar hopping is also made easy with Rye & Bean coffee bar in AquaDome or Bubbles champagne bar in Central Park to sip on coffee-infused cocktails or bubbly.

And that's not all, as there are over 40 different ways to dine, drink, and be entertained onboard Icon. All venues will have a fresh and new sense of excitement, from Trellis Bar serving up its first menu of bites to Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade offering more ways to play. Linken D’Souza, Vice President of food and beverage for Royal Caribbean, stated, "We’ve set out to introduce a new kind of vacation in every sense and taken a blank slate to create an unparalleled blend of ways vacationers can celebrate and make memories whatever their mood, vibe and style."

Some of the hot spots for drinks and shows include Dueling Pianos, Lou’s Jazz ‘n Blues, Rye & Bean, and The Overlook and Overlook Pods. The elevated lounge and first-of-their-kind nooks at sea provide the perfect setting for friends to lounge with a drink, play classic board games, and kick back to live music. Returning favorites like The Attic, Music Hall, Boleros, and Schooner Bar are sure to rock the boat as well.

For those looking for more ways to play, Point & Feather is the neighborhood English pub on Royal Promenade that offers a new open layout and games of darts and sips joining the signature lineup of pints. Meanwhile, Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade provides gameday bar fare, ice-cold beers, and dozens of screens for vacationers to catch their home teams while playing arcade and tabletop games. Aspiring singers can take the stage in front of the crowd or in a private room with their friends and family at Spotlight Karaoke on Royal Promenade.

Icon will sail seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean vacations from Miami year-round, with every cruise visiting Royal Caribbean’s private island destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas. Here, adventurers can create their perfect vacation day with 13 waterslides at Thrill Waterpark, the first overwater cabanas in The Bahamas at Coco Beach Club, and much more. Vacationers will also visit Cozumel, Mexico; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; and Roatan, Honduras. All in all, the Icon of the Seas is sure to be a remarkable vacation destination for everyone.
