Holland America to Explore Four Regions During 2024-2025 West Coast Cruises

Holland America Line has launched cruise bookings for its 2024-2025 West Coast season, offering travelers a chance to explore the world without the hassle of international air travel. The sailings, which depart from San Diego and Vancouver, will allow guests to experience the vibrant cultures of Mexico, Hawaii's aloha spirit, the charming seaside escapes of the Pacific Coast, and the famed Panama Canal, aboard five different ships across 42 cruises. Whether guests choose to take a roundtrip from San Diego, roundtrip from Vancouver, or begin or end their journey in either of the two ports, they are guaranteed a rich collection of close-to-home itineraries. According to Beth Bodensteiner, Holland America's chief commercial officer, "Our West Coast departures are a rich collection of close-to-home itineraries, and by offering the ability to book back-to-back cruises in different regions, our guests can check off more of their must-do travel experiences in one vacation."

From September 2024 through May 2025, guests can embark on cruises that range from a four-day voyage along the Pacific Coast to a 21-day transit of the Panama Canal. Each itinerary has been carefully curated to include popular ports as well as lesser-visited locales that showcase the natural beauty, cultural diversity, and rich history of each region. Holland America has also included more Panama Canal Collectors' Voyages this season, which begin with a Hawaii cruise and expand the canal transit experience to the eastern Caribbean.

The highlights of the 2024-25 season include cruises to Mexico aboard the Koningsdam and Zaandam, which are all roundtrip from San Diego. Guests can enjoy seven-day "Mexican Riviera" cruises featuring Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, and Cabo San Lucas, or opt for the seven-day "Baja Peninsula and Sea of Cortez" itinerary that visits La Paz, Loreto, and Cabo San Lucas. For those seeking a longer journey, Holland America offers 10-day and 11-day itineraries that combine all five ports from the seven-day itinerary, with the 11-day adding Manzanillo, Mexico.

Holland America's Hawaii cruises, aboard the Koningsdam and Zaandam, offer guests a chance to experience the Aloha spirit. Itineraries are roundtrip from San Diego or Vancouver, and the 16-day Circle Hawaii roundtrip from San Diego visits Honolulu, Lahaina, Hilo, and Kona, all in Hawaii, as well as Ensenada, Mexico. The 17-day Circle Hawaii roundtrip from Vancouver visits Nawiliwili, Lahaina, Hilo, Honolulu (overnight), and Kona, while the 17-day roundtrip from San Diego features a one-day call at Honolulu and adds Ensenada. The 18-day Circle Hawaii is roundtrip from San Diego and calls at Lahaina, Hilo, Honolulu (overnight), Nawiliwili, Kona, and Ensenada, giving guests plenty of time to explore and take in the sights.

For travelers interested in exploring the Pacific Northwest and Coast, Holland America has five ships that will cruise along the West Coast of the United States for the 2024-2025 season: Eurodam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Westerdam, and Zaandam. Itineraries are roundtrip from San Diego, roundtrip from Vancouver, or between Vancouver and San Diego, offering guests a chance to explore the beauty of the region. The "Pacific Coastal" itineraries are four and five days and sail between San Diego and Vancouver. The four-day itinerary features a call at Avalon or Santa Barbara, California, while the five-day itinerary visits San Francisco, California
