Seabourn introduced its newest luxury cruise liner this month. At a lavish naming ceremony in Singapore, the Seabourn Encore was christened before invited guests, travel agents, and media. Attendees were awed by the ship’s grandeur and opulence. It has a guest capacity of 600 and boasts 13 decks, 300 verandah suites, seven guest elevators, and a crew of over 400.

The ship’s designers had Seabourn’s astonishingly high repeat cruiser rates of over 50 percent in mind when they included many stylistic similarities to the fleet’s three other ships; the Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Sojourn, and Seabourn Quest. Long time favorites such as the Seabourn Square, The Club and the Observation Lounge, have been included and expanded in the new ship’s design.

Dark wood railings, wider passageways, and higher ceilings than Seabourn’s other ships, highlight many of its majestic architectural features. Seabourn Encore’s larger casino offers even more seating, open space and amenities than its highly regarded existing fleet.

Other features include The Retreat on Deck 12 which has 15 private cabanas. Each cabana has its own large flat-screen TV, as well as a hot tub. Dining options include
The Grill by Thomas Keller, The Restaurant and The Colonnade.
Seabourn Encore is currently on its initial winter season voyages with trips to Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Dubai.
