If you go to Paris for a few days, you should definitely dedicate one of these days to go to Versailles. I just went to Versailles, and I wish that I came earlier in the day, and took more time to see it. There are so many things to see, ranging from the Versailles palace to the gardens by the Trianon mansions.

It took about 40 minutes to get to Versailles from the center of Paris. We came there around 2 pm. When we came, there weren't too many people, and we got in pretty fast, especially since we had a Museum Pass. When we went through the gates of the courtyard, I was impressed with all of the gold covering the gate and the building. Inside the palace, I wanted to take pictures of everything because the chandeliers, the paintings, the walls, and the furniture were so colorful and fancy. The hall of mirrors made me feel like a king, because it was such an elegant room.

The whole palace was full of historical wonders. After the palace we went to the gardens. There were many flowers, bushes, and fountains that took my breath away. I even saw a big fountain that was coordinated to make amazing patterns with the water, and it did it to music. A lot of the big fountains corresponded with gods and goddesses alike. Some of the things were so big that I had to take small videos instead of pictures.

Overall Versailles was one of my favorite things in Paris. It was an enjoyable experience that was definitely worth the time. Even if you don't see everything, you will definitively enjoy what you do see.
