Have you ever found treasure on a pirate ship? I did!

We went to Brick, New Jersey to a pirate adventure. It started off when we went to check in, we got personalized name tags. My nametag was Ruffin Rachelli. Then we got to dress up in costumes to look like a pirate. We also got tattoos. I got a skull and bones tattoo.

First we had to learn the rules of the pirate ship. Flounder, our tour guide was quite funny.  He taught us words pirates use such as “aargh mateys.” Finally it was time to board the pirate ship. We were “thrown” on board by the captains of the ship. We had to work hard on the ship, for example we had to do pushups to make sure we were strong enough. Then there was a race. Girls vs boys. Who could raise their flag first? Girls won. Yippee!

After that we had to find the treasure map that was hidden on the ship. When we found it, we tried to figure out where the treasure was. The only problem was there was no X on the map. Finally we found the X, but I won’t tell you where. Then we stumbled upon a letter in a bottle. Our ship almost hit it. Oh my! It said, “I took the keys to the pirate chest. You will never get it.” Pirate Pete wrote. We were so confused. Finally we saw an old, abandoned ship with someone sleeping in it. It was Pirate Pete. Oh no! We squirted him with water from the cannons. He finally fell into the water. While he was screaming, “I’LL GIVE YOU THE KEYS!” We searched the deck for the keys. My brother was the luckiest boy who found the keys. Then we saw an X floating in the water. When we pulled it up, it was a huge treasure chest. We had to open the treasure chest with the key. Inside were valuable jewels. No not really, they were little toys, but there were rings and gold coins and lots of little things. Then we found another X in the water. What could it be? It was a ratted, old sac with chains. Inside there was an octopus and Pete’s Crog. Pete’s Crog is like Iced Tea, just better.
