Hi, my name is Carly Dulitsky, and I am a 6th grader at SSDS. My family and I went on a very fun trip to Slovenia and Croatia filled with lots of amazing activities. I recommend this to all ages, there is just so much to do.

One of the highlights of my trip was canyoning. My family and I went on the canyoning trip in Kobarid, Slovenia. It was amazing! First you hike up this rocky mountain and you get a fantastic view. As you hike straight up the huge rocky mountain you carry all of your gear on your back including: a wetsuit, a jacket over your wetsuit, a harness, water shoes, and a helmet. As you walk up the breathtaking Julian Alps you feel the scorching heat of the August summer sun. Dripping sweat I honestly just wanted to turn around, if only knew how much fun was ahead of me I would have never even considered turning back.

After a half hour of a steep hike up the rocky mountain, we finally got to our destination. Everyone including my family, another family from the Netherlands, and the tour guides all got on our gear. I stepped foot in the fresh crystal clear water with my special canyoning shoes on and at first the water didn't get through my them. Suddenly I felt shivers up my back as the water started to seep in. It was so refreshing after the steep climb. The tour mountain, we finally got to our destination. I slowly take steps, and say in my head,” 1,2,3 JUMP,” and I jumped like it was impossible to get hurt.Slovenia, was just amazing, great views, lots of activities, lots of fantastic, pretty beaches, and even canyoning. Now maybe you will consider going to this beautiful wonderland.
