Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas Customer Review

    December 29, 2015

We absolutely LOVE it when our customers' send us reviews (the awesome, the bad, and everythign in the middle); read below a recent review of the RC Ship Allure of the Seas!

The ship is beautiful! Even though it is huge, it never feels overcrowded, except for the parade times and pools on days at sea.

Deck 4 hosts an indoor ice skating rink (good show, not great), comedy club (great comedians, but all jokes are 18+), and jazz lounge where we heard a great night concert, the best of Broadway. I highly recommend attending it.

Deck 5 is The Royal Promenade with signature shops, English pub, karaoke bar, and a 24h pizza place.

The main Amber Theater is located on Decks 4 and 5 and houses a full Broadway show production of “Mamma Mia”, and breathtaking “Blue Planet” that reminded me of Cirque du Soleil shows.

Deck 6 has the outdoor Boardwalk neighborhood was inspired by Coney Island: shops, really tasty hot dog joint, a carousel and the AquaTheater with an amazing OceanAria production.

Deck 8 hosts the plant and tree-filled Central Park with a few more upscale restaurants. There is always a guitar or piano concert there between the hours of 5-8pm. Check out your daily brochure for specific times. It’s great sitting outside between the trees listening to live music.

Deck 14 is all about the kids in Adventure Ocean, and, at the back of the ship, right up on Deck 15, you have the Sports Area, complete with FlowRider surf simulators, a zipline, mini-golf, Ping-Pong and basketball courts. Deck 15 has many pools, including adults only area pool and lounge. My favorite was the salt water pool with a ‘beachy’ vibe.

    Food (free)

Windjammer Cafe buffet restaurant – not the best. I’ve had much better food choices on other ship. No variety and quality is just ok.

The Grande – we had 4th floor 6 pm sitting – most days the food was great, except for Thanksgiving Day, which was filled with pecan and pumpkin creations, which we don’t eat.

Cafe Promenade and Sorrento's Pizzeria are there just to make sure no one is hungry at any hour of any day.

Park Café on Deck 8 in Central park – Panini and other sandwiches aka nothing special.

Boardwalk Dog House is great hot dog place with many choices.

Frozen Yogurt is on Deck 15 near the kid’s pool area. Open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

    Stops

Bahamas: a useless stop in our opinion from 7am till 1pm all aboard. No time for Atlantis, nothing else to do but shop. We tried a different beach in the hotel area and found it rocky.

St. Thomas USVI:  it is not our first time on this island. We took taxi to Megan Bay beach, which was crowded but beautiful. Spent 6 hours in water, saw few fishes and a sea turtle. Water was just perfect temperature, color, and no waves.

St. Martin: we took a private tour of the island and had a great day. We drove around the island and saw many great views,  ate Uni (sea urchin) fresh from the ocean, took a 5 min boat ride to Pinel Island where we spent a few hours on an excellent beach.
