Our VIP clients returned back from Italy. Here are just some highlights from their vacation.
We had a wonderful time! Thank you for all of your help planning our trip!
Sorrento
We spent five beautiful days in Sorrento and did not want to leave! It is one of the most beautiful places on earth! A must if you have the opportunity to visit! Beginning our days sipping espresso and cappuccino in neighborhood cafes, strolling along lemon tree and cobblestone lined streets, breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast and Mount Vesuvius, shopping in Piazza Tasso and eating gelati everyday, delicious meals ending in homemade limoncello and meeting wonderful people from all over the world, and many Italians on Ferragosto holiday.
Alex, the apartment you booked for us at Hotel Rota Suites was perfect! The location was near many shops and restaurants, and the amenities were wonderful for our family of four, including wonderful kitchen and living areas, a very large bedroom and a spacious bathroom, as well as laundry onsite. The Hotel Rota staff went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience! Raffella and Giorgia went above and beyond to help us with restaurant and other suggestions and were so kind. They booked a wonderful day trip for us along the Amalfi Coast with a personal guide, which was amazing! I would highly recommend Rota Suites! If you stay there you also have access to their sister hotel, Grand Hotel Riviera, which is 5 minutes away. We spent the day at their pool which overlooks the magnificent ocean, and had a delicious brunch there twice during our stay in Sorrento.
Rome
Rome is called the Eternal City because ancient Romans believed that no matter what happened to the world, or how many empires rose or fell, Rome would go on forever.... we loved our time in Roma! We soaked in its rich history, art, architecture, beauty and of course tutta la pasta and gelatia! Una bellissima citta! From The Colosseum, Pantheon and Roman Forum to the magnificent Fontana di Trevi (where we threw a coin in to assure our return)... the Spanish Steps, Vittorio Emanuele II Monument and Palatine Hill, we walked miles, mangi tutti and met many wonderful people. Pasta at Piazza Navona overlooking the beautiful La Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi, shopping and delicious gelato.
We had a wonderful time visiting the Vatican City Museums and Sistine Chapel - and are so appreciative of the tour you arranged for us! Our personal tour guide, Vittorio, an art historian, gave such incredible insight and details throughout our visit. We could have spent days visiting each and every exhibit, artwork and sculpture. Highlights include: Terrace with a view of the Basilica and Gardens, Papal Coat of Arms, The Pinecone Courtyard, The Pinacoteca (Painting Gallery), beautiful statues, marble baths and sarcophaguses (stone coffins), the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of Tapestries and Gallery of Maps, and of course the magnificent Sistine Chapel, featuring Michaelangelo's commissioned ceilings. After spending three hours touring through the museums and Sistine Chapel, we walked to the beautiful Piazza San Pietro to visit St. Peter's Basilica, the world's largest church and burial site of St. Peter and the first Bishop of Rome (Pope), as well as more than 130 popes lie entombed within its walls. A glorious day for us, we are so grateful to you!
We are so grateful for all of your help! Oh, and the car worked out perfectly and fit all of our luggage, including 4 suitcases, and carry ons, they made sure we had a car that fit us.
Thank you again Alex, for everything, I will recommend you to friends!
